Kaas





Kaas manor house is situated in Salling, on a listed peninsula in the Liim Fjord. The manor house is used by the entire group for entertainment purposes, seminars, conferences etc.

The 440 hectares of land which belong to the manor consist of 220 hectares of heath, 55 hectares of lake, 55 hectares of meadow and 110 hectares of forest.

Kaas manor house has been in the Færch family since 1954.

Kaas manor house was built in 1636 and the wing was added in 1791. The entire manor house is listed. The medieval manor, built on a hill south of Kaas lake, was burned down by Skipper Clement in 1534 during the civil war known as the Count’s Feud. The original house was situated east of the present manor house. Kaas manor holds a large number of items of historical value, prehistoric finds, burial mounds etc.
